Hot flashes, difficulty in falling asleep, dryness, mood swings, low libido, weight gain, and fluid retention are some of the symptoms that become a challenge in the menopausal stages of life. Thankfully, with mindfulness around dosha, diet, and agni, Ayurveda and Yoga provide a breakthrough for conventional times through ancient practices.
Often seen as a dreadful list of changes in the body, menopause can become manageable as per Yogic and Ayurvedic wisdom. In the Indian wisdom stream, menopause is not viewed as a disease, disorder, or taboo, but rather as a stage in life with an alternative approach to empowerment through simple changes in diet, exercise, and daily routine practices.
