Advancing Daily Sadhana: Methods and Techniques of Meditation Mentoring Program

With Swami Swarupananda ~ Lisa Pearson | Feb 12- May 21, 2025

Deepen your personal sadhana and start others on a spiritual health journey with meditation, ritual and intention.

Guiding Individuals, teaching 1:1

You will be mentored and guided in offering a variety of meditation methods and techniques to individuals as 1:1 Yoga Therapy for Spiritual Health. We begin with a review of the Level 1 yoga methods of meditation, self inquiry meditation and guided imagery meditation and become mentored in using these tools as assessment and protocol with dose and dosage. You will further deepen your sadhana with personal guidance and coaching from Swami Lisa and also mentored in starting others on a spiritual health journey with meditation. You will become mentored to lead a variety (adding several more styles to your toolkit) of meditation methods and techniques to individuals as 1:1 Yoga Therapy for Spiritual Health

Over the course of the mentorship you will complete three case studies, guiding clients through techniques of meditation to address their spiritual health. You will write and record a guided meditation /healing meditation script for one client and share the recording to a google.drive as part of your final presentation. You will also be mentored in advanced yoga meditation for your personal sadhana. Suggested reading lists , listening and practice assignments and sadhana practice log is included.

This Mentorship Level begins with an initial 3 hour discussion on Feb 12, 2025 from 8:30-11:30 PT on helping others to cultivate a personal meditation sadhana. Swami Swarupapanda will lead you in a practice session of additional meditation techniques to add to your yoga therapy tool kit. Included will be slide/booklet for content reminders, a practice log for your records, all necessary links and a book recommendation list.

You will also have the opportunity to book in three private 30 minute mentoring sessions (additional time available if desired) with Swami Lisa to review your personal sadhana and receive guidance in cultivating your competence in offering yoga therapy for spiritual health with your three case study clients.

This Mentorship lends well to being done alongside one of the other Winter/Spring IPYT mentorships as it is approved for you to use the same case study client that is used for one of yoru other mentorship programs. This Level 2 Meditation Mentorship will cover best practices for people with pain, depression, anxiety, and stress.

You will have the entire mentorship period to complete your practices, journaling, case study client sessions and homework. You may ask for guidance and give updates to Lisa throughout the duration of the mentoring time. Your case study write up and final report is due on at least one day prior to your closing mentorship call.

This Mentorship Level closes on May 21, 2025 with you sharing your experiences and reporting one case study write up - live in session with a small group cohort. Lisa and Michele will offer feedback and insights. You are also asked to share one recording of a guided meditation that you prepared for this client. Recordings will be shared with the full Mentoring Group on a google drive link.

In addition to advancing our Self Inquiry, Guided, and Yoga Meditations we will review, discuss and be guided in the following types of Meditation in this Mentorship:

Tratak, Moon Gazing, Yantra Meditation, Mantra Japa Meditation, Kirtan Kriya, Metta Meditation, Tonglen, Prose Meditation, Labyrinth and Walking Meditation, Shinrin-Yoku/Forrest Bathing/Therapy, Forgiveness Meditations, Feeding Your Demons, Kriya Yoga Rituals.

* Swami Lisa offers many add-on opportunities for community connection and practice in this meditation sangha. You can expect to be invited to several community gatherings and emailed additional practices throughout the mentorship to aid your mentoring experience and further guide your personal spiritual health. All add-on offerings are recorded.
